Buying A Phone At Best Buy Vs Verizon Store 2017 =LINK=

No. Some brands, like Moto and Huawei, sell phones only from their websites or through retailers like Best Buy and Amazon. It's the same deal with Google's Pixel 2 or Pixel 2 XL. If you want to buy it directly from a carrier, you have one choice: Verizon. But Google's online store also sells an unlocked version which works on AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon.

The big advantage here is that buying an unlocked model from a phone maker gives you access to a larger variety of phone models compared with the smaller selection of handsets that carriers typically offer.

The good news is you don't have to. Just know that there are no financial advantages to buying a phone from a manufacturer or from a carrier -- locked or unlocked. The real advantage to buying a phone from a carrier is the convenience of doing it all at once. While the advantages of an unlocked phone are that you have more say over which carrier you want to use as well as a wider selection of phone models.

Sound of Music operated nine stores throughout Minnesota by 1978.[25] In 1981, the Roseville, Minnesota, Sound of Music location, at the time the largest and most profitable Sound of Music store, was hit by a tornado.[22] The store's roof was sheared off and showroom destroyed, but the storeroom was left intact.[22][26] In response, Schulze decided to have a "Tornado Sale" of damaged and excess stock in the damaged store's parking lot.[22] He poured the remainder of his marketing budget into advertising the sale, promising "best buys" on everything.[26] Sound of Music made more money during the four-day sale than it did in a typical month.[23]

In February 2008, Best Buy opened its first store in San Juan, Puerto Rico.[56] Best Buy's Geek Squad market tests in Office Depot and FedEx Kinkos stores ended by March.[57] Also in March, the company began promoting the Blu-ray optical-disc format over the HD DVD format, a move which ultimately contributed to Toshiba's decision to drop HD DVD.[58] In May, the company agreed to buy 50% of the retail division of The Carphone Warehouse, a London, England-based mobile phone retailer.[59][60] The deal was worth $2.1 billion.[60]

In February 2009, Best Buy leveraged its partnership with The Carphone Warehouse to launch Best Buy Mobile, a Best Buy-branded mobile retailer. Best Buy Mobile standalone stores were opened in shopping malls and urban downtowns. These Best Buy Mobile outlets were also added in all Best Buy-branded stores.[65]

In April 2010, Best Buy opened its first United Kingdom-based Best Buy-branded store in Thurrock.[69] The company eventually opened 11 Best Buy stores in the United Kingdom, all of which were closed in early 2012. In November 2011, Best Buy purchased The Carphone Warehouse's share of Best Buy Mobile for $1.3 billion. Best Buy and The Carphone Warehouse maintained their Best Buy Europe joint venture, which at the time operated 2,500 mobile phone stores throughout Europe.[70]

In the second quarter of 2007, Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal ordered an investigation into the company's use of an in-store website alleged to have misled customers on item sales prices.[93] In December 2007, the Los Angeles Times reported on the same issue, in which some customers claimed they thought they were surfing the Internet version of bestbuy.com at an in-store kiosk only to learn that the site reflected in-store prices only. In response, company spokesperson Sue Busch indicated the in-store kiosks were not intended for price-match purposes and rather were a means to navigate in-store availability. Since the initial investigation, a banner was placed on the in-store site to make its customers more aware of the difference.[94]

Thank you for such a good suggestion. These ideas will be very useful when I buy a cellphone. I can undoubtedly say that this blog will be very best and helpful for new users. I am glad to read your post

The very best phones offer great cameras, the kind of performance you need to multitask and enough battery life to last the whole day. And we have our own web surfing battery test to put company's "all-day" endurance claims to the test.

Other highlights for the Galaxy S23 Ultra include smarter OneUI 5.1 features, including Bixby Text call for screening calls for you. And the display is now flatter for easier S Pen use, though we still don't think the panel needs to be curved. Note that there are complaints about S Pen Bluetooth connectivity issues, but hopefully that will be fixed with an update. Although we'd like to see faster charging overall the Samsung S23 Ultra is the best Android phone yet and easily one of the best phones overall.

Other highlights of the iPhone 14 Pro Max include a powerful A16 Bionic processor that smokes most Android phones and a powerful new 48MP camera that gives you the choice of brighter images or sharper resolution in ProRAW. See our ProRAW photo shoot to see the results. And the new Action Mode for video is super smooth and compelling. The best part is the battery life, as we saw over 13 hours in our testing, making this a total beast and worth the premium.

Video is another strong point for the iPhone 14 Pro, as you get a super smooth Action mode along with a sharper 4K Cinematic Mode. Add in a very clever replacement for the notch with Dynamic Island and an always-on display and you have one of the best phones you can buy. We just wish Apple offered faster charging, which likely won't happen until the iPhone 15 Pro.

With 5x optical zoom, the Pixel 6 Pro can pull off some fancy zoom tricks in combination with the enhanced Super Res Zoom. But we think the colors are a bit dull on the telephoto shots, certainly less vibrant than the iPhone 14 Pro in our testing. Regardless, the Pixel 7 Pro is the Android phone to get if you want the best cameras.

The iPhone SE (2022) offers a lot and is one of the best phones under $500. It trades blows with the Pixel 5a, meaning that iPhone buyers on a budget have two great options to look at. (The other being the $499 LTE-only iPhone 11.)

The main reason to get the Galaxy S22 is because you hate paying full price for phones. And at $699, the Galaxy S22 still has a lot to offer since just a few months ago, it was one of the best phones in Samsung's lineup.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 takes the best foldable phone and makes it better in multiple ways. For one, Samsung and Google made it much easier to multitask by adding a taskbar, and you can now drag and drop content between more apps when you're running them side by side.

One of the most important tests we run is the Tom's Guide battery test. We run a web surfing test over 5G or 4G at 150 nits of screen brightness until the battery gives out. In general, a phone that lasts 10 hours or more is good, and anything above 11 hours makes our list of the best phone battery life.

Last but not least, we take the best phones out in the field to take photos outdoors, indoors and at night in low light to see how they perform versus their closest competitors. We take shots of landscapes, food, portraits and more, and also allow you to be the judge with side-by-side comparisons in our reviews.

I pre-ordered thru Best Buy. The Note 8 needs to be activated prior to trade-in and the fine print from Best Buy states to perform the trade in at vzw.com. I tried this and the site displayed an error every time I tried (every day since I received my phone early on Sep. 6). I asked a rep via chat what I should do. They said I should go to a Verizon store and ask them to process the trade. I went to the store only for them to tell me they couldn't process the trade since I bought the phone at Best Buy (I tried to explain it's a VERIZON promotion, but they stood by their word). I called Verizon Customer Service from the parking lot and they walked me through the process on the website again. It failed again. They asked, again, to have a store associate process it for me. This time, while phone rep was on speaker phone, the store manager processed the trade. I let the customer service rep go since the store manager assured me he now understood what needed to be done. Here's the tricky part. The trade was only processed for $190 - as a gift card. I was told not to use the gift card and he would 'take care of it'. Upon returning home, I called customer service again to let them know what ended up happening. They said this is actually what was supposed to happen - the value of the phone will not show the promotional value until the phone is received by the Verizon warehouse and verified to be in good condition. In other words, the store will need to ship my trade-in to the corporate warehouse and when they receive it, the $480 credit ($20/month over 24 months) will be applied to my bill. I was instructed again to NOT use the gift card. To me, they're making things WAY more complicated than they need to be and not having ANY confirmation of any kind that I will obtain the $480 credit - not even a receipt for the trade - makes me a little nervous. Curious to hear what other people's experiences were like.

Bgblktruck, thanks so much for letting us know what phone you traded in and explaining to us the process that you went through. Did the store manager indicate they were sending the phone in on your behalf? Did you get a trade in submission ID?
